“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,..”
One of my favorite sayings is, “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% of how werespond to it.” With that said it is clear – reflecting on the scripture above that in life,
what ever happens to us and how we react – if we are a true loving and surrendered man
or woman of God, we will carry these fruits. We will love no matter what, we will
remain joyful, we will be peaceful, and we will be patient and deal with
situations not throwing away anyone at the drop of a hat. We will be gentle and not
hard, we will be good and we will hold to the faith in Jesus Christ.
So, I encourage us all, to pray, surrender to God’s will and plead for God’s Holy Spirit so
that we will all love, be peaceful, kind, patient and calm in all things. We need God’s
Holy Spirit wherever we go, whatever we do and especially those times when we don’t like something we’ve seen or heard - if they are good or even when they appear bad.
“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matt.7:20
And then we can be a true witness to those who are seeking and need a good, loving and
patient Christian example.
